Caroline Stealey

In the windows of the Basement flat and back garden of the property, Caroline Stealey displays recent work inspired by the Gwent levels. She writes:

“Influenced by place, nature and historical events, I use maps & historical documents as reference to make layers of marks, with textiles & mixed media.”

Please note – access to the artwork is down the slope to the right hand side of the building. This work is not accessible to people with mobility impairments.

Yn ffenestri fflat a gardd gefn yr islawr yr eiddo, mae Caroline Stealey yn arddangos gwaith diweddar a ysbrydolwyd gan lefelau Gwent. Mae hi’n ysgrifennu:

“Wedi’i ddylanwadu gan le, natur a digwyddiadau hanesyddol, rwy’n defnyddio mapiau a dogfennau hanesyddol fel cyfeiriad i wneud haenau o farciau, gyda thecstilau a chyfryngau cymysg.”
