Art on the Hill 2020 Prize Draw / Tynnu Gwobr Celf ar y Bryn 2020

In previous years, we created a place on our map for you to collect stamps from different venues visited. This year, we are using the uniqueness of 2020 to our advantage.  Art on the hill wants you to tap into your creativity and imagination to draw your own art trail from your experience this weekend. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

How to enter: Draw a picture of YOUR art trail adventure, share it on Facebook using #ORIEL-AOTH and you will be entered into the draw!

Mewn blynyddoedd blaenorol, fe wnaethon ni greu lle ar ein map i chi gasglu stampiau o wahanol leoliadau yr ymwelwyd â nhw. Eleni, rydym yn defnyddio unigrywiaeth 2020 er ein mantais. Mae celf ar y bryn eisiau ichi ddefnyddio’ch creadigrwydd a’ch dychymyg i dynnu’ch llwybr celf eich hun o’ch profiad y penwythnos hwn. Ni allwn aros i weld beth rydych chi’n ei feddwl!

Sut i gystadlu: Tynnwch lun o antur llwybr celf EICH, rhannwch ef ar Facebook gan ddefnyddio #ORIEL-AOTH a byddwch yn cael eich cynnwys yn y raffl!

The Stone cherub; an enduring ‘Port icon that proudly adorns Newport bridge. Famously appropriated by The Stone Roses in 1994 during the recording of The Second Coming in Rockfield studios. The four winged cherubs have long been admired (and even stolen) over the years and remain stoic; as they keep watch over Newport as pedestrians join motorists and make they’re way across the River Usk below towards the legendary TJ’s (RIP), Rodney Parade and city beyond.

This year’s main prize and design has been lovingly produced by Newport born and bred artist Ben Meredith (as part of Art on The Hill 2020).  If you have ever spent any time in Newport you know ‘keep it safe’.

In addition to Ben’s prize, we will have other surprise prizes on offer. So, show us what you got! We look forward to seeing your creativity 🙂

Ceriwb y Cerrig; eicon parhaus ‘Port’ sy’n addurno pont Casnewydd yn falch. Neilltuwyd yn enwog gan The Stone Roses ym 1994 wrth recordio The Second Coming yn stiwdios Rockfield. Mae’r pedair ceriwb asgellog wedi cael eu hedmygu (a hyd yn oed eu dwyn) dros y blynyddoedd ac maent yn parhau i fod yn stoc; wrth iddyn nhw gadw llygad ar Gasnewydd wrth i gerddwyr ymuno â modurwyr a gwneud eu ffordd ar draws yr Afon Usk isod tuag at y TJ’s chwedlonol (RIP), Rodney Parade a’r ddinas y tu hwnt.

Cynhyrchwyd prif wobr a dyluniad eleni yn gariadus gan yr artist Ben Meredith a anwyd ac a fagwyd yng Nghasnewydd (fel rhan o Art on The Hill 2020). Os ydych chi erioed wedi treulio unrhyw amser yng Nghasnewydd rydych chi’n gwybod ‘cadwch hi’n ddiogel ‘.

Yn ogystal â gwobr Ben, bydd gennym wobrau annisgwyl eraill ar gael. Felly, dangoswch i ni beth gawsoch chi! Rydyn ni’n edrych ymlaen at weld eich creadigrwydd 🙂
