AOTH encourages residents of and visitors to Newport to engage with local artists and to give our partner venues and organisations an opportunity to showcase their activities and programmes over the weekend.

For a reminder of last years #AOTH2017 – see this article from the South Wales Argus website:

https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/15684910.Art_trail_is_a____big_hit____with_public_and_artists/?ref=twtrec

There’s room for all art forms with events over the weekend to be included on a printed trail map that will be available from partner venues from mid November.

Each venue showing work is the responsibility of the artist / resident to supervise and curate within boundaries that they themselves are comfortable with. You can elect to be open for a specific period within that time frame, but you must commit to the times you advertise.

You can see the area that we are focusing on for the Arts Trail is below. We will include venues that are outside of this area under the umbrella of ‘Elsewhere in Newport’. We will be asking for a participant and/or partner contribution towards print costs.
